StarFall: Review

Gazing at the stars has been a pastime for humanity for generations. We love to seek out the brilliance sparkling in the night sky, catch as many shooting stars as we can, and sometimes, if we squint just the right way, we can see bits of ourselves in the cosmos. StarFall by Scott Almes is a game in which astronomers compete to identify cosmic wonders in hopes of creating the best portfolio and titled the most renowned astronomer.

City of Zombies: Review

If Plants v. Zombies was a math game, Fairway’s pretty sure that his kids would be doing college-level differential equations. But alas, it’s not. Enter City of Zombies: The Board Game.  Marching zombie hoards are threatening your zombie-fighting, kid heroes. Their only weapon: math.  Find out if Fairway solved this one.

Battle for Sularia: Review

Today, Fairway takes command of an elite squadron of mercenaries and soldiers in a dystopian future where a mining corporation “accidentally” destroyed the planet. The Siblings Trouble: Review

For some reason, all of Fairway’s stories end with dad jokes and his daughter’s always involved dirty socks and time travel. That’s what Fairway learned when he played The Siblings Trouble. A relatively recent Kickstarter game from Eduardo Baraf.
