Kingdom 18 & Itty Bitty Dungeon Delve: Preview
There’s a definite design limitation imposed on games that have only eighteen cards. Today, Fairway does a double review and takes a look at a pair of microgames coming to Kickstarter from Concrete Canoe Games: Kingdom 18 and Itty Bitty Dungeon Delve. The games are part of a promised, new series of games from the publisher aimed at small, light and fun games. Unsurprising, then, these two first games fit the series theme particularly well.
Moonshot: Preview
Fairway’s been away. In space. Apparently for a few months. He returns from space with this Kickstarter preview of Moonshot, a dice-rolling, space-race game that’s coming to Kickstarter on April 24th.
The Board Game Workshop #36: Simultaneous Action Selection
Chris chats with Bez, Dr. Wictz, and Andrew Miller about the simultaneous action selection game mechanism.
Before and After: Groves
Groves is a beautiful game designed by Steven Aramini and Dan Letzring, with artwork by Nolan Nasser, and published by Letiman Games. Groves had a very successful Kickstarter campaign, reaching a funding amount of $38,123 (433% of its goal) and 957 backers. This game recently began fulfillment to its Kickstarter backers, including me! I was lucky enough to own one of the prototype copies of this game and super stoked to compare it to the final production copy. Now that I have both in my possession, I can do just that! Without further ado, Before and After: Groves edition.
